For current admission fees, please visit http://shwpark.com/plan-a-visit/hours-tickets/park-hours-tickets.html
Do I need to make a reservation before I visit?
You do not need a reservation to visit Sylvan Heights Bird Park. Tickets may be purchased upon arrival at the Visitor Center, or online by clicking here.  Advance reservations are needed if you are bringing a large group, a school group, or would like a guided tour.

Are face coverings required at the park?

In accordance with state guidelines, any unvaccinated guest should wear a mask, and we strongly encourage all guests, both vaccinated and unvaccinated, to wear a mask in indoor settings.  For additional information about COVID-19 safety in North Carolina, including recommendations for those who are not yet vaccinated, please visit https://www.nc.gov/covid19 and https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-nCoV/index.html.

How long does it take to see the entire park?
We recommend allowing at least two hours for your visit, but some people prefer to stay half a day or more!  If you plan to visit in the afternoon, we recommend arriving no later than 3:00 p.m. (2:00 p.m. during winter hours) to ensure you have time to see all of the park and experience The Landing Zone, which closes at 4:00.
