Save the Frogs Day

April 30, 2022 | 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Save The Frogs Day is the world’s largest day of amphibian education and conservation action.

As part of the North Carolina Science Festival, Sylvan Heights will celebrate the world’s largest day of amphibian conservation and education from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. Frogs and amphibians have been declining worldwide at unprecedented rates and nearly 1/3 of the world’s species are threatened with extinction. As part of the worldwide celebrations on April 30th (savethefrogs.com), Sylvan Heights will provide activities to encourage an understanding of amphibians and how to help their survival. Park visitors will have opportunities to learn about amphibians, their importance in the wetland ecosystem and their connection to birds in and around the park.

This event is free with paid park admission or membership.

Sylvan Heights Bird Park is proud to participate in the North Carolina Science Festival by presenting science programs and activities throughout the month of April!  This year’s NCSciFest Theme is “Engineering Tomorrow”.
