Harlequin Duck (Histronicus histronicus)
One of the smallest sea ducks, the Harlequin prefers to live along tumultuous rocky coastlines and mountain white water rapids. To accommodate for this habitat preference, these ducks have a distinctively high pitched whistle that is audible over the sound of pounding surfe and rushing rapids. These whistles have earned them the local name of Sea Mice.
